Creating Stocking Stuffer Gift Sets For Teen Girls

by admin on December 18, 2009

Are you tired of the same old thing when it comes to creating Christmas and Holiday Stockings for teenaged girls?

I have a daughter who is now 23 years old. Back when she was a teenager, I started creating theme’ d Holiday stockings for her. Instead of buying a mish mash of items, I concentrated on making theme’ d stockings with items that I knew she would appreciate and enjoy.

When putting together your gift sets, keep size in mind. You will want to use small items or travel sizes.

You don’t have to fill the stocking with every item listed, these are only suggestions to get your creative process flowing.

1. Manicure/Pedicure: base coat, top coat, 3 colored nail polishes, fingernail file, fingernail clippers, toenail clippers, cuticle pusher, bottle of nail polish remover and cotton remover pads.

2. Cosmetics: eye shadows, blusher, tube of mascara, lip glosses, lip balms, cover-up stick, foundation, pressed powder, eye make-up remover, cosmetic sponges, a small cosmetic bag and a good facial cleanser.

3. Skin care: facial cleanser, toner, moisturizer, acne wash, facial scrubbing mask and cotton balls.

4. Jewelry: earrings, bracelet, necklace, ankle bracelet, toe ring, jewelry cleaner and a jewelry bag or roll for traveling.

5. Photography: disposable camera, brag book sized photo album, gift card for film developing and a few small 3 x 5 picture frames. All teen girls love to take photograph’s of their friends.

6. Bath and Shower: shower pouf, bath sponge, shower gel, bubble bath, bath salts, bath bombs, body lotion and some bath soaps.

7. Hair care: shampoo, conditioner, mousse, styling gel, hair spray and a hair towel that can easily be rolled up and put into a stocking.

8. Hair Accessories: barrettes, pony tail holders, decorative bobby pins, hair clips, hair scrunchies, combs and brushes. You could also include a gift card to their favorite hair salon.

9. Weekend Fun: For this idea, you will want to purchase several $5.00 and $10.00 gift cards to places such as: local pizza shop, roller skating rink, ice skating rink, miniature golf course, ice cream parlor and the movie theater. Purchase several jewelry gift boxes and place one gift card in each box. Next, wrap each box and place them inside the stocking.

10. Teen Accessories: small wallet, coin purse, belt, cosmetic bag, cell phone case, scarf, gloves, knit hat, socks and other small accessory items that teen girls love.

Making theme’ d holiday stockings are fun! I am sure your gift will be a big hit with any teenaged girl on your Holiday list. My daughter is now an adult and to this day, I continue this tradition when it comes to creating her Holiday stocking.
